Jackpot off to a flying start to 2015!

SEAGRAVE DUATHLON: Matt Hallam came in with an almighty first place on Sunday 1st March destroying the field behind him at the Seagrave Duathlon in Leicestershire. Over the sprint course of a 5k run, 23k bike and finally a 5k run, Matt was ahead of second place by 5 minutes exactly and in windy conditions. This was a great sharpening up race ahead of the Dambuster Duathlon next weekend. Podium photos will be added later…

Slightly further East on the Saturday was the BELVOIR CHALLENGE. Neil Midgley finished in a storming 20th position on the off-road and undulating marathon course. The course is renowned for it’s 3000 cakes over the whole 26 mile course at the check points. We do fear this may have slowed down our athlete and he consumed more calories than lost.

Hot Stuff

Heather Sellars GB tri suitHeather Sellars heads out to the ITU World Triathlon Series opener in Abu Dhabi (capital of the United Arab Emirates or UAE) sporting a new tri-suit emblazoned with Jackpot Racing’s logo.  The race takes place on 7th March which should be relatively cool.  The heat doesn’t bother Heather though, “I love the heat; the hotter the better for me!”

The elite race is over the sprint distance of 750m/20k/5k starting at the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club, on the Volvo Ocean Race yacht pontoons.

Heather says, “My aim is to just enjoy my first World Series, without having any pressure, and getting stuck in there with the best in the world and hopefully get a good result.”

Most Viewed Athlete 2014

End of the year and here’s some interesting [?] stats from the website
www.jackpot-racing.com…

Perhaps, obviously, the home page was the most viewed, followed by the Profile Pages page (the one with the thumbnails before you go into an athletes profile).  The sponsor will be pleased that their page ranked as the third most viewed, but only by ten clicks over The Team.

But who is the most popular athlete?

Place you’re bets now….

….It’s our Woman of the Year, Jenni Muston. And second most popular, making him our top male, was Mika Brown.  Only 10 views separated the pair.

The most popular post by a long way, getting 50% more views than the second most popular was “Ripon Triathlon Dominated by Jackpot Racing
