The Nottingham Triathlon 2014 at Holme Pierrepoint on Saturday 31st May attracted a large field due to it being a qualifier for the 2014 ITU Worlds and 2015 Europeans. So it was particularly pleasing to see Jackpot Racers filling two of the top four positions.
Kieran Bones Hill came third overall in 57:26 just losing out on second place in a sprint to the line. Just 16 seconds back, Mika Brown completed the course in a PB 57:42. The two came first and second in their 20-24 age group. It’s obvious where the pairs’ strengths lie (even though they don’t exactly have a week discipline) with Kieran clocking just 9:06 for the 750m openwater swim and Mika digging in for a 17:26 run on a mind-sapping course.
Also racing was Chris Brown who trucked home a few days later in 65:58.
