Started triathlon after smashing my left wrist and belatedly having to give up rugby and squash. Invited a mate to join me, who rudely went and beat me. So I trained the next winter to beat him, then he returned the favour the next year… and you can work out the trend for yourself. Four years later we were both racing in AG for GB on the Gold Coast.
Generally, the shorter the distance, the better I go – but have been dabbling at 70.3 recently.
Being a Northern Ginger, the heat is a problem. If it is cold, I’ve got a chance.
